Chelsea full-back Filipe Luis seems set to leave England this summer, after being unable to gain a regular first-team place in Jose Mourinho’s side. But reports in the Spanish press suggest that the Brazilian’s fondness for former club Atlético Madrid means a move to rivals Real is out of the question.
According to Marca, Real chiefs had approached the player with the blessing of new coach Rafael Benitez. However, the ex- Figueirense star has not responded to the approach as he is still holding out for a return to the Diego Simeone’s Atlético side where he enjoyed so much success two seasons ago.
