Brazil’s squad numbers for the 2015 Copa América have been announced.

Neymar, arguably the team’s outstanding player, has unsurprisingly taken the number 10 shirt, while of the other players who competed at the 2014 FIFA World Cup, Thiago Silva has changed from 3 to 14, but David Luiz [4], Fernandinho [5] and Willian [19] have retained their choices.

Of the newcomers, Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho, who scored in Sunday’s 2-0 win over Mexico, will wear 21, Everton Ribeiro has 18 and Internacional defender Geferson will take 15.

Likely first choice goalkeeper Jefferson has the number 1 jersey, with his back ups Neto and Marcelo Grohe getting 12 and 23, respectively.

The number nine shirt, which was worn by the much derided Fluminense forward Fred at the World Cup, has been given to Shandong Luneng Taishan’s Diego Tardelli. The 30 year-old, like Coutinho, also netted in the warm up victory against Mexico.
