Defender Maicon is pleased with Roma’s start to the Champions League.
Rudi Garcia’s side brushed aside CSKA Moscow 5-1 at Stadio Olimpico and Maicon, who netted the third, believes Roma have made a statement.
“We’ve started well but there’s still a lot of work to do. Starting like that in this group was important,” he said, as reported by asroma.co.uk.
“We’re approaching every game knowing it’s difficult but the other clubs know that they will be facing a strong team.”
