Breno was arrested in connection with an arson incident at his Munich mansion and has been suffering with problems of severe depression, thus his German club are willing to let him return to Brazil to recuperate.
São Paulo were interested in their former youth product in the summer, having lost Alex Silva and Miranda over the transfer window.
Now, they are once more upping their interest given Breno’s personal issues and need for personal recovery.
“We want Breno to recover and stay in a place where he can feel good,” said Director of Football Adalberto Baptista. “I have no doubt that here, with us, he will feel at home.”
