Brazilian goalkeeper Julio Cesar has received offers from Atletico Madrid and Brescia.
His father, Jenis Cesar, says that he would prefer to extend his contract with Flamengo but is not ruling out a switch to Europe – provided he will be guaranteed regular football.
“Julio has received some offers from Europe but he only wants to play there if he will be a regular,” said Jenis Cesar.
“He doesn’t want to be transferred to a European team if he will be a substitute.
“He prefers to renew his contract with Flamengo instead of being a substitute in Europe.”
He says he will decide on his future after Flamengo’s next match against Cruzeiro, but it seems as though he favours an extended stay in South America.
