The Seleção youngsters’ final opponents have yet to concede a goal in the tournament in their six games so far, but Franco is confident his side will be the ones to end that run, with Brazil having scored 15 times so far.

“Portugal is known to defend, but we hope our forwards are at their best on Saturday to win the World Cup,” Franco said on Wednesday upon arriving in Bogota, Colombia, the location of the final.

It will certainly be a clash of two differing styles, with Portugal having only managed to score five times so far in this year’s competition. The final takes place on Saturday night at 20:00 local time (02:00 Sunday morning UK time).
