Corinthians recently had a €40 million offer rejected, and it seemed as if the move would be off after club president Andres Sanchez revealed they could not afford to match City’s asking price.

However, speaking to Sky Sports News, Mancini revealed that a deal had been struck between the two teams, saying: “We have an agreement with Corinthians but Carlos now is still a City player.”

When asked if Tevez would now discuss personal terms with the Brazilian side, Mancini responded: “I don’t know this. I repeat, at the moment Carlos is still a City player. I want to wait. At the moment we are working with other guys. We should think about this.”

Tevez, 27, is believed to want to leave Manchester to be closer to his family in Brazil. His agent Kia Joorabchian had previously said he thought the deal would go through, which would see Tevez back at the club he played for between 2004 and 2006.
