Yesterday evening, São Paulo’s central defender Diego Lugano reaffirmed in front of the Paulist press that his team was still in race to become the champion 2004.
Main idol of the “tricolor” club, the Uruguyan defender lives a season quite remarkable.
Convened a few weeks ago for the first time in the Uruguyan selection, Lugano is come up in power within São Paulo’s defense during the season. He is considered from now as one of the best central defender in the championship.
Lugano notably declared: “We are in the race. It is not the moment to complain. It is necessary at all costs to gain our next matches and to hope a false step of Santos or Atlético what is not impossible. The championship remains very balanced.”
