Thiago Silva, Chelsea’s Brazilian defender, has expressed his ‘dream’ of seeing his children follow in his footsteps and play professionally for the club in the future. Aged 39, Silva is still having a solid season in his fourth year at Stamford Bridge. Despite rumors of a return to Brazil, he dismissed the idea, explaining his family’s happiness and their well-established life in London.

Silva’s love for Chelsea

Silva’s two sons, Isago da Silva and Iago da Silva, are currently part of Chelsea’s academy. In an interview with the club’s website, Silva described his love for the London club since his arrival in 2020 and how much he would love to see his children wear the Chelsea shirt. He emphasized the special bond he feels with his boys playing on the team.

Silva’s wife is also very involved, attending matches and taking full advantage of the final years of her husband’s career. Silva’s advanced age has raised questions about how long he will be able to continue at Stamford Bridge, but he has so far exceeded expectations, making 130 appearances and scoring six goals. His biggest achievement with Chelsea was winning the Champions League in 2021.
