A big newspaper in Holland - De Telegraaf - is publishing that Gomes will be the goalkeeper in the starting line-up for Brazil at the Confederations Cup!
The source is a statement by the Brazilian confederacy.

De Telegraaf also says that Man United and Barcelona are very interested in Gomes.

dida and gomes for sure after the 2 half finals from the european cup...so gomes deserves this chance..and add his name on the WC ticket..

Only Dida and Gomes i know well. I've seen every game of Gomes this season and he definitely deserves a chance!

Very true Fabien-palmeireinse, Dida isnt consistent and Gomes is why PSV arent in the Euro Cup final because he is a clown.

Ive seen quite a few this season, he isnt a first choice GK he is a poor GK compared to the other choices available like Helton, Cesar and Marcos.

You have a biased opinion because you follow PSV, i have a neutral opinion and he isnt good enough.

Your argument is crap, i mean i backed mine up with a fact that he cost PSV a place in the Final so wheres your facts?

Gomes rescued PSV more than once. If we didn't have Gomes, we would't even reached the semi-finals! He really playes an amazing season.
And i am not subjective. Everyone in my country has the same opinion.

I understand, but imo 'he's a clown' is not an argument. Ofcourse he may disagree (otherwise there could't be a discussion), but please place better and more intelligent arguments than 'he's a clown'.

one player does not get a team to the semi finals the team does, so your argument that he got PSV there is invalid.

He has no authority of the area, poor on crosses and is only good at shot stopping.

You seem to forget he plays in the Dutch league, not exactly the highest standard around. So when he plays against elite teams he is made to look incompetent.

To play for your country means playing against the best and he has proven he cannot do this.
