[Poll] Brazilian Football Awards

2004 has been a prolific year for Brazilian football:
Victory in the Copa América, second place in the World Cup
qualifications and Brazil have remained first in FIFA's world rankings.
Brazil have also continued there abilitly to bring in new World class
players such as Adriano, Juan, Kaka,
Ronaldinho and the next big thing Robinho.
It is now time for us to recognise the players of the beautiful team in
2004.

Who for you was the best Brazilian player of 2004?
If you were Parreira, what would your team be?
According to you, who is the coach who characterizes better the
Brazilian
success in 2004?and which Brazilian club deserves the gold palm this
year?
Thank you for your answers

Re: [Poll] Brazilian Football Awards

Without doubt in my opinion there is only one real choice, Ronaldinho Gaucho. I know he didnt play in the Copa America but (bare in mind im a Barca fan) he single handedly turned around the fortunes of FC Barcelona. I truly believe that not only is he the best Brazilian of 2004 but the best in the world! So lets hope FIFA recognise him.

Carlos Parreria has had mixed fortunes this year. Obviously winning the Copa America with most of his first team missing was a massive gamble, which paid off.
But some how i think that he really would have liked to have gone into the New Year 1st in the SA world cup qualifying table. I think he is an excellent coach and the CBF should definitly stick with him to the world cup. Especially as Scolari looks set to travel to Germany with Portugal. He (Scolari) would be my first choice coach!

As for Carlos Parreria's team picking abilities; I think he's doing a good job. I would have liked him to have brought in some of the younger players. Lets give Robinho some caps, as it looks like he will be a major player in the 2006 WC. Lets play him against Argentina and scare the hell out of them!

The best brazilian team this year is definitly Atlético-PR (which kills me to say as a Flamengista). I wish i had bet on them at the start of the season!!

Ronaldinho Gaucho was the best Brazilian player of 2004!
If I was Parreira, my team are:
Dida, Cafu, Lucio, Juan, Roberto Carlos - Edmilson, Edu, Juninho - Kaka - Ronaldo. Ronaldinho Gaucho
Wanderley Luxemburgo was the best coach of Brazil Championsheep 2004!
And Santos was the best club of year!

Re: [Poll] Brazilian Football Awards

As brilliant as Ronaldinho is, im going to say Adriano his performance in the Copa America was outstanding and he is continuing this at Inter Milan, Serie A is the most defensive league in the world so to be the current top scorer is something special.

Re: [Poll] Brazilian Football Awards

My favourite players in 2004 were Ronaldinho Gaúcho (Barça), followed by Adriano (Inter) and Kaká (Milan).

My Seleçâo in 2004 would look like this: Dida - Cafú, Lucio, Juan, Roberto Carlos - Juninho Pernambucano, Emerson - Kaká, Ronaldinho - Ronaldo, Adriano. On the bench: Robinho, Luis Fabiano, Diego, Marcelinho, Belleti, Kleberson.

The best brazilian team in 2004 was Atlético Paranaense. What an achievement! So their coach Levir Culpi deserves my vote.
