The first 45 minutes were open to either side with both teams looking intent to play with an offensive approach. São Paulo were the first to open the scoring after just seven minutes with with Pablo taking advantage of Reinaldo’s perfect cross.

Bragantino did not relent and continued to push forward with a high press for an equalizer. 28 minutes later they got their wish.  Matheus Jesus received a pass from Arthur and converted a beautiful shot from outside the area.

Four minutes later, it was all square again. São Paulo  caught Red Bull on the counter and pushed for an equalizer of their own.  Once again, it was Pablo who rifled in a shot after a pass by Daniel Alves. The first ended that way.

The second half resumed in similar fashion with both sides pushing for what would be the winning goal. Red Bull came close shortly after the break but missed a couple of chances. In the 66th minute, the couse of the game would change. Vitinho and Arthur combined on the right with a brilliant attacking spell and found São Paulo napping. Arthur made no mistake with his chance and buried the ball in the right corner.

The game would go on to end that way in favor of Red Bull Bragantino.

With the result, São Paulo remains in the lead of group C, with 18 pointsRB Bragantino remains at the top of group D, with 20 points. In the last round, São Paulo faces Guarani , while Bragantino plays with Botafogo -SP.
