Spurs saw their Champions League hopes hanging by a thread after their previous loss to Sheffield United at the Bramall Lane.

On a night where they needed an immediate response, the North London outfit weren’t all that much better but were fortunate to benefit from a Micheal Keane own goal that went on to be the only goal of the game. For Jose Mourinho, it was his 200th win in the Premier League as a manager.

Lucas Moura was active in active for Spurs but failed to find the back of the net. The Brazilian winger had the first opportunity of the game. Tottenham struggled to break down their visitors in the opening stages but a 21st-minute effort from Moura almost brought about the opener as his 25-yard effort skimmed the left-hand post.

In no more than three minutes later, Mourinho’s side went one goal ahead as Lo Celso’s effort took a heavy deflection off Micheal Keane and went into the net past a helpless Jordan Pickford.

A major talking point in the game was a fight between Hugo Lloris and teammate Heung Min-Son towards the first half. The game eventually ended the same way.

The victory took Spurs to 48 points but still nine off fourth placed Chelsea.

For Moura, he’s had a pretty quiet season so far in terms of output. The 27-year-old has been a regular in the Spurs ranks, making 42 appearances amounting to 2817 minutes. In that time, he has scored only seven goals and supplied three assists.

At this time last season, the Brazilian had almost double his current output.
