The Partenopei are likely to see a number of departures this summer and the Italian outfit already have their eye on potential replacements.

One of those players that could be set to leave the San Paolo this summer is Mexican winger Hirving Lozano. To that effect, it’s already believed that Everton Soares has been identified as his likely replacement.

English side Everton are believed to be interested in Lozano and the idea is for Napoli to use those proceeds to secure the signature of Everton Soares.

Ironically, Everton are also among the names interested in the Gremio forward and some reports from Brazil have even claimed Ancelotti has already called the 24-year-old personally on phone.

It now means both players could have their futures inter-twined as the departure of one would facilitate room for the other to move and vice versa.

One thing that remains certain though is that Napoli already have it in their plans to sign Soares regardless of whatever may happen.

The interest from the Italian side was recently confirmed by the forward’s agent, Mario Cruz.

"I don’t know why that is… There are even those who are already saying that Everton is a Napoli player.

"The truth is that the Italian club is interested, [their interest] is real. Talks have started, yes, but the latest development came a month ago.

"The player would accept [Napoli’s offer] with great enthusiasm because they play in an important league and they’re a club with great tradition and fantastic fans."

Soares is already highly rated and has been linked to a number of other sides across Europe. So far for Gremio, he has scored 47 goals in 179 appearances. Since making his debut for the Brazilian national team, he has also scored three goals in 14 appearances.
