Real Madrid have returned back to the top of La Liga with a dominating 2-0 victory against Mallorca at the Alfredo de Stefano stadium on Wednesday night.

Vinicius Junior and Sergio Ramos got themselves on the scoresheet as Los Blancos scored one goal in each half.

Real Madrid now boast a perfect record since the La Liga restart having won all their four matches since then.

Mallorca's 15-year-old Luka Romero, dubbed by local media as the “new Lionel Messi,” became the youngest player to appear in a Spanish league match.

But another teenager in Vinicius Junior also stole the headlines once again. The 19-year-old has been in superb form since after the break and once again put in another brilliant shift.

The Brazilian was without doubt one of the best performers on the night. Vinicius carried forward his form from the last game in San Sebastian back to Madrid. A visible difference in his shooting and decision making could be seen on the evening.

Real Madrid took the lead in the 19th minute courtesy of the teenager. A slick move of passing ended with a sublime finish by Vinicius Junior around the 19-minute mark. Luka Modric started the move as Vinicius delicately chipped the ball from a tight angle over Mallorca goalie, Reina.

The second goal came from Ramos in the second half where he scored a pin-point free-kick from just the edge of the box. The gal was the 8th goal from the Spaniard and saw him become the second highest scorer in the team behind Karim Benzema.

Real Madrid must now maintain their form as any slip ups now could prove super costly in the La Liga race.

Zidane will be boosted by the new found form of Vinicius Junior who is now proving he deserves to be a starter in the Los Blancos lineup.

Up next for Real Madrid is a tough away trip to Espanyol on Sunday. Zidane has already said his team will take all fixtures like a final and we can expect to see more of that.
