Chelsea’s Willian says he is not worried about his physical condition when football is eventually allowed to return.

The sporting calendar has been suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic, meaning, among other things, clubs are unable to take training.

Willian admits that the physical shape of players will suffer when football eventually returns, but he does not think it’ll be a big issue.

"It was a little difficult [isolation in England]. I had to do the exercises at home, get training to keep fit, but it was a necessary thing for the moment," Willian told UOL Esporte.

"A player from our team tested positive and the club decided that we should stay home. I didn't get tested, but the team doctors asked me every day how we felt, there was no need to take the test.

"We have all the programming that the club gives us to do during this time: exercise and diet. There is a lot of care on the part of Chelsea so that we can return well.

"They know that we will not return as before, because we lost the pace of the game, it is different, but we will not return with such a bad condition."
