Brazil World Cup Qualifiers Postponed
Brazil’s CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers against Bolivia and Peru later this month have been called off, CONMEBOL has confirmed.
With the Coronavirus pandemic gripping much of the world, football all over the globe is feeling the effects with postponements and cancellations.
Many of Europe’s leagues are shutting down in an attempt to contain the spread of COVID- 19 and CONMEBOL will follow suit.
The next round of Copa Libertadores games have been called off and the beginning of 2022 World Cup qualifying will be postponed.
Brazil were due to play Bolivia in Recife and then Peru in Lima to get their qualification campaign underway.
Those games will be rearranged now for a date to be determined as the global fixture list is set for a major revamp in response to mass postponements. The 2020 edition of Copa America is also in some doubt.
