Tite Prepared for Serious Stuff to Start as Brazil Announce Squad for World Cup Qualifiers
Brazil coach Tite says that the time for experimentation is over as Brazil prepare to get their World Cup qualifying campaign under way against Bolivia later this month.
Tite announced a 24-man squad for games against Bolivia and Peru and Tite says it is time for his team to take shape after a period of friendlies since last summer’s Copa America.
“There is a moment when you open up a bigger situation, and another when you know the players who are in the best condition. High-level football must be solid and have a result.
“Now these situations are closed, with less opportunities [to experiment with the team]. This opportunity is in the clubs now, play well there and you can come here.
“I hope that all high level athletes - and I don't say that in a demagogic way - are at their best and that I have to answer 300 questions about why I picked one and not the other.
“I want to be in a ‘tight skirt’ [tough situation] all the time, that everyone has a high bar, including Neymar.”
