Arsenal’s teenage left-back Bukayo Saka says he and fellow teenage teammate Gabriel Martinelli’s friendship is behind their recent link-up.
Martinelli teed up Saka for the opening goal of Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Bournemouth in the FA Cup on Monday night.
Ten days ago Martinelli scored in a home draw with Sheffield United thanks to a left-wing cross from Saka.
The pair have earned rave reviews for their displays on the left-hand side, with Saka at left- back and Martinelli on the left-wing.
“We train a lot together, we speak a lot, he's my good friend,” Saka explained of his Brazilian colleague.
“Every time we are speaking about how we are going to beat defenders and how we are going to get in behind and score some goals.”
