Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola admits he needs to review the club’s penalty takers- and that goalkeeper Ederson could be a contender.

Gabriel Jesus missed from the spot against Fulham on Sunday in the FA Cup, his 3 rd miss in 6 attempts for the club.

He also missed during the 1-0 win over Sheffield United in the Premier League last week, causing Guardiola to re-think his penalty hierarchy.

“It is a concern (the penalty situation). Ederson is our best penalty taker, believe me. He doesn't have blood in his veins, so calm, so he could do it.”

Pep’s claim was backed up by Ederson’s compatriot Gabriel Jesus, who stands to be replaced in the pecking order.

“It’s true he doesn’t have blood (in his veins). If the manager said to him take them, I think he’s going to score.”
