Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says that Fabinho is close to a return from injury with the player set to join full training next week.

The Brazilian has been out for six weeks with an ankle injury suffered in a Champions League encounter with Napoli.

Klopp is not sure whether the player will be ready for next weekend’s encounter with Manchester United, but says a return is on the cards soon.

“Dejan and Fabinho we expect to be back next week in full training. That’s obviously good. If that’s then early enough for the United game, I don’t know but we will see.

“They work really hard at the moment and they go really through the paces, so that’s good.” Fabinho’s return will be a huge boost to Liverpool, who are without Naby Keita, James Milner and Alex Oxlade- Chamberlain through injury at the moment.
