Neymar Pleads Patience With Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo
Brazil star Neymar has pleaded patience for Real Madrid’s teenage superstars Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior with the Brazilian press.
Vinicius joined Madrid from Flamengo last winter, with Rodrygo joining from Santos. But Neymar hopes the pair can be allowed to develop at their own pace.
“Both Rodrygo and Vinicius Jr are top players. They are demonstrating this at Real Madrid and I am hoping they can win, enjoy European football,” Neymar told Globoesporte.
“They became professionals just a short while ago, they will create experience, mature a little and they will be much better than they are now.
“In Brazil, the people are a little hurried. They want them to develop quickly, to win all of the championships. Adaptation is difficult.
“It is hard to come playing at a high level in a club like Real Madrid and Barcelona, among others. But, both are surprising.
“It shows that they have maturity, a personality that is surreal. I just hope they go this way, focused, never cease to be happy, enjoy football and I'll be cheering them on.”
