Neymar Reflects On ‘Year of Learning’
Neymar Junior says that 2019 was “a year of learning” for him. The Brazilian spent much of the year injured and missed his country’s Copa América triumph on home soil.
He returned from a foot injury in the summer, only to injure his ankle in the summer. Then he found himself injured again on international duty in October.
Neymar told Globoesporte, “2019 was a very difficult year for me in every way, both professionally and personally. It was a year of learning, of many twists and turns.
“I got hurt and had to get back on my feet again. Then I ended up hurting myself again. So it was a year of overcoming, of twists.
“Even though it may have looked bad, it was a year of a lot of learning, I gained a lot of experience. May 2020 be better.
“My biggest expectation is to win everything I can with Paris and the Brazilian National Team. Seek new challenges, reach the Champions League final, win the Copa América again. So these are the challenges I intend to achieve in 2020.”
