Everton forward Richarlison says he will not be supporting either team if Flamengo and Liverpool meet in the Club World Cup next week.

The teams could meet in the World Club Cup Final and the game puts Richarlison in a difficult position given his allegiances.

He played for Flamengo’s main rival Fluminense and currently plays for Liverpool’s city rivals Everton. The striker refused to be drawn on whom he would be cheering for.

“I’m not cheering for anyone, these clubs have more than 30 millions supporters, one more or one less isn’t going to make a difference.

“I will support my club, I will support Everton. They (Liverpool and Flamengo) can have a good game and the best team can win.”
