Everton boss Marco Silva has hinted that Brazilian winger Bernard won’t be available for this weekend’s clash against Norwich.

Bernard suffered a knee twist in a game against Brighton on October 26 th and it was hoped that he could return after the international break.

However Silva has broadly hinted that he may yet have to wait before making his return to the first team.

“Bernard started to work with the team but in the first days of the week not full sessions. He is getting his minutes and his time in the training session, each day he is doing a little bit more.

“He is still in doubt. Let’s see if he will be available for the next match or not. Let’s see how he will react every day.”

Fabian Delph is also on the sidelines and Silva wants both back as soon as possible with the fixture list about to become congested.

“We want is to get them better and ready as fast as we can, we are coming into a really tough period for us and we already have some long-term injuries, so it is really important to have the others in good conditions.”
