Gabriel Jesus Rooting For Flamengo In Libertadores Final
Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus says he will be supporting Flamengo in next weekend’s Copa Libertadores Final against River Plate in Lima.
Jesus grew up at Palmeiras, who don’t have a friendly relationship with the Rio club, but Jesus says he wants to see a Brazilian side prevail.
“I'm Brazilian, I want the Brazilian team to win, I have friends there. I'll be happy if they win, I have many friends there.
“Flamengo has been living a unique moment that made them get the place in the Libertadores final. They are ten points ahead, six games to go.
“It is very difficult because Palmeiras has been winning titles in recent years, investing a lot, I will always respect the other teams.
“I wanted Palmeiras to win, but the football Flamengo has been playing beautiful football, I haven't seen a team in a long time playing like Flamengo.”
