Brazil forward Neymar will miss the next four weeks with a hamstring injury after hobbling out of the Seleção’s 1-1 draw with Nigeria in Singapore.
Neymar was replaced by Philippe Coutinho after 13 minutes clutching his hamstring. A scan has revealed a moderate hamstring tear.
The injury is another blow for the player, who missed Copa América with an injury picked up in a friendly for his country.
He started the season late with PSG as a result of the problem and will now miss the next month with his club.
The player has picked up a total of 19 injuries, missing 89 games since cracking a vertebrae in the 2014 World Cup semi-final.
He has broken his foot twice in that time and has picked up injuries on each thigh. He should be fit for Brazil’s November fixtures, however.
