Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli says he is gradually finding his feet at Arsenal after joining the club from Brazilian club Ituano in May.
The 18-year old has impressed recently with two goals against Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup last week, as well as a brace against Standard Liege in the Europa League on Thursday.
The Brazilian says he is adjusting to life in London, “I’m gradually getting more confident and settling more into the squad, but the squad are making me confident and we’ll go on from here.
“I am pleased with my performance but more importantly the fact that the team won, and the hard work the lads put in.”
Martinelli says life has been made easier by the crop of young players the club have breaking into the first team, like Joe Willock and Reiss Nelson.
“It’s easy because we get each other,” he said. “We’re the same age, and they all put in a big effort to score and they help me out.”
