Brazil winger Willian is out of Sunday’s Copa América final against Peru in the Maracanã due to a thigh injury.
The Chelsea man was a late call-up after Neymar had to pull out of the tournament with an ankle injury.
However, Willian sustained a muscle injury in the semi-final victory over Argentina after coming on as a half-time substitute for Everton.
The injury rules him out of Sunday’s final after a scan confirmed the extent of the damage. Willian scored a penalty in the quarter-final shootout victory against Paraguay.
He is Brazil’s only injury concern with Fernandinho returned to fitness and Filipe Luís likely to be fit to play at left-back too.
