Marcelo Rooting for Brazil at Copa América
Real Madrid left-back Marcelo Vieira says he is rooting for his friends in the Brazil team, despite not being selected for Copa América.
Marcelo has not been called-up since the World Cup in Russia, but he insists this has not tainted his affection for the national team.
“I have lots of friends in the squad and I support them always. I want Brazil to win the competition. I am on my holidays at the moment, but when they play, I support.
“I am not looking at every player to see who plays well or badly, the only thing I do is support and I send good wishes for them to win the Copa América,” he told Globo.
He also rejected criticism of coach Tite, “Professor Tite is an amazing guy, he always talks face to face. I cannot be sad, I must be patient.”
