Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson says his stoppage time save against Napoli in the group stages of the Champions League was his personal highlight of the European campaign so far. Liverpool play Tottenham in the final on 1 st June in Madrid.
The Reds had to beat Napoli at home on match day six and did so with a narrow 1-0 victory. But Alisson pulled off an outstanding save in stoppage time to prevent Liverpool from going out of the competition.
“I think that anything can change a series of events, in one second or one minute,” he told liverpoolfc.com, “But without a doubt, the save against Napoli was pretty much the last touch of the ball and that save could be counted as a goal, I say.
“But of course, my teammates played their part as well and that’s what makes it so special, to be part of that group and to be able to help them. They are such incredible players.”
