Valencia defender Gabriel will come face to face with his former team Arsenal in the Europa League semi-finals on Thursday, desperate to make history with his current side.
Gabriel left the Gunners for Valencia in August 2017 after a two and a half year spell in North London, he will return to Emirates Stadium with Valencia on Thursday.
“I like these types of games and the type of pressure that comes with playing against sides like Arsenal. I’m ready to do a good job and help the club go as far as possible in the competition,” he said.
“Playing for Arsenal was an incredible experience that I will never forget. I want to make history with Valencia. It’s the Centenary year and in 100 years’ time I want people to remember that Gabriel Paulista won the Europa League with Valencia."
The clubs face off in London on Thursday, before playing the second leg at the Mestalla next week to decide who will go to the Europa League Final in Baku.
