Barcelona forward Luis Suarez has leapt to the defence of teammate Phillipe Coutinho, who continues to feel the brunt of the Nou Camp crowd.
Coutinho celebrated a recent goal against Manchester United by cupping his ears to the home crowd. Suarez asked Barca fans to lay off the Brazilian.
Coutinho and Suarez are set to face their former club Liverpool in the Champions League semi-Final this week.
“Barcelona players have to live with criticism constantly, you need to be very strong mentally to come through bad moments.
“Philippe is a friend, he is still young and I am trying to advise him. At Liverpool he proved what a good player he is.
“You have to accept criticism, but what is most important is that he is happy, comfortable and that he has the trust of his teammates.”
