Chelsea defender David Luiz was not happy with the tactics of Burnley during the Clarets’ 2- 2 draw at Stamford Bridge on Monday night and he was no more impressed with the officiating of Kevin Friend.
Luiz complained about Burnley’s time wasting tactics and says his attempts to bring them to the attention of match official Kevin Friend proved futile, adding an extra layer of frustration for the Brazilian.
“I think it is the first time I’ve done that because it is difficult because when you see a referee even laugh in your face when you try to speak with him in a respectful way, it is not nice,” he told Chelsea’s official website.
“When I was trying to speak with him he was never looking in my eyes and he was not trying to listen, he just said I don’t want to listen to you, shut up and play the game.”
On the Blues’ top 4 hopes, Luiz says the equation is simple for Chelsea, “I think we have to win every game, nine points, and we try to do that.”
