Spurs forward Lucas Moura says that his hat-trick against Huddersfield Town on Saturday was one of the best moments of his career to date.

Moura stepped into the breach of the injured Harry Kane with a superbly finished hat-trick in a 4-0 win over the Terriers.

Lucas told the Spurs website that he will never forget the feat and he celebrated with his son on the field post-match.

“What a day! What a game! What an atmosphere! I have no words to explain this moment,” said Lucas, who took his tally to 12 goals in all competitions this season.

“First, my team-mates, we did very well, it was a great performance and to score my first hat- trick at the new stadium with my family here, my son, I just need to say thanks, I’m so happy.

“My son is my best gift with my wife and my family, to have him here with me on the field and the fans making such a good atmosphere, I will never forget this moment. I’m sure when he grows up he will remember this day.

“We scored two goals in the first half and after, we were a bit lazy, 2-0 is too dangerous and if they score they put us in a difficult situation, so the third goal killed them off.

“I’m happy because we played a very good game, good intensity and we needed this result. This gives us good motivation for Wednesday.”
