‘I Want the Brazil of the Second Half’ Says Tite
Brazil boss Tite cited the vast improvement in the second half of his side’s 3-1 friendly win over Czech Republic as the big positive of the March international round. The Seleção trailed the Czechs 1-0 at half time in Prague.
It was just desserts for a listless display, but the second half introduction of Gabriel Jesus, Everton and David Neres swung the game in Brazil’s favour, with Firmino scoring once and Gabriel Jesus scoring twice to secure victory.
“I want the Brazil of the second half and these are stages of a team in evolution. I'll say again, we’re creating opportunity. I moved the defensive structure higher up at half time. It's reacting to the situation.
“We are trying to create new chemistry, it's normal for the modifications you make. I say it again to the guy who's listening to me, who's in the supermarket, when he is with two, three people he already knows, things flow more naturally.”
