Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino could be fit for this weekend’s Merseyside derby and may even be fit enough for tonight’s home clash with Watford.
The Brazilian hobbled out of the Reds’ 0-0 draw at Old Trafford on Sunday with an ankle injury. But the player’s scan seems to have come back all clear.
"He looks good. We were obviously lucky. It’s not as serious as we thought in the first moment," Klopp told his Tuesday press conference.
"If Bobby goes down and leaves the pitch then it’s obviously a bad sign because he’s a pretty hard boy. For tomorrow, it will be very close, but he has a big chance for the derby.
"Because it’s Bobby, I would say yes [for Watford] but I don’t know if I would use that chance because we play on Wednesday after playing on Sunday. Writing Bobby off is a big mistake Because he recovers pretty quickly."
