Klopp Has ‘No Clue’ On Firmino Ankle Injury
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says he is unclear on the extent of striker Roberto Firmino’s injury, following Sunday’s goalless draw at Old Trafford.
The Brazilian was one of four players not to last the first half due to injury, coming off in the 31 st minute due to an ankle problem.
Klopp says he does not yet know what the injury is or how long it is likely to keep the player sidelined.
“Unfortunately, I have no clue. It was something with the ankle, that’s for sure. Bobby said at first he could carry on but then he showed it didn’t work.
“I don’t know exactly; it is Bobby, so it will be quicker than with all the others but first we have to know what it is exactly – and we don’t know at the moment.”
Liverpool have a crunch Champions League last 16 second leg tie with Bayern Munich next week, as well as Premier League games against Watford and Everton this week.
