Fernandinho Says It’s ‘Hard To Know’ Whether He’s in the Best Form of his Career
Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho says he does not know whether he is in the best form of his career at the moment, but paid tribute to City boss Pep Guardiola’s contribution to his recent performances.
The Brazilian has starred for a City side that top the table having beaten Chelsea 6-0 on Sunday. He told Globoesporte, “This question is very complicated. I just know that I am very happy, playing good football and being able to help my team.
“The results are going for us, we play for them as well, but, above all, with good performances. It's hard to know if it's the best time, but I'm good, happy, playing well and my team is playing in four competitions with each game at the same level.”
The player says he will play in this summer’s Copa América for Brazil if called upon, “If I have the opportunity to play the Copa America in Brazil I will go with all the will in the world to win. I will prepare myself in the best possible way.
“Physically, tactically, psychologically, in all phases of preparation, in search of this title. After the Copa America, we do not know how the future will be, but as long as I have the strength and conditions and the chance to serve the Seleção, the commitment will always be the same.”
