Brazil Copa América Group Revealed
Brazil have been given a kind group stage draw for the Copa América in June, with Bolivia, Venezuela and Peru in their group.
Brazil host the tournament which takes place in June and July. Group B sees Argentina grouped with Colombia, Paraguay and guest nation Qatar.
Group C brings Uruguay, Ecuador, Japan and Chile together. Brazil boss Tite admitted that his team would be hot favourites to progress.
“We are aware of that, but we are also aware we need to play well and win those games,” he said.
Brazil will open the tournament on June 14 th in Morumbi in São Paulo against Bolivia. The top 2 teams from each group qualify for the quarter-finals, along with the 2 best third placed sides.
Brazil have not won the tournament since 2007 and the hosts are under some pressure, having tumbled out of the World Cup at the quarter-final stage.
