Spurs winger Lucas Moura will miss tonight’s Carabao Cup semi-final first leg match against Chelsea at Wembley Stadium.
The Brazilian picked up a knee injury during Friday night’s 7-0 win over Tranmere Rovers in the FA Cup 4 th Round.
Moura’s absence is ill-timed with Korean forward Son Heung-min set to join up with South Korea for the Asian Cup next week.
However, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino does not expect to supplement the loss in the transfer market with the window open this month.
“It’s more about finding the right player that fits for us, not only on the football side, but a player that fits in all areas,” the Argentine coach told a news conference on Monday.
“I don’t expect to add players. Of course, if we have the possibility to add the right player, we are going to try.”
