Brazil boss Tite says he will make changes for tonight’s friendly against Cameroon at Stadium:MK, but he will not change the entire XI. Brazil defeated Uruguay 1-0 at Emirates Stadium on Friday evening.

There will be alterations to the starting line-up, but Neymar, Marquinhos and Roberto Firmino will keep their places, while Pablo will start at centre-half alongside Marquinhos. “I need to rest Miranda, who is older and plays on the left side,” Tite explained.

“Dedê only plays on the right side. It's how he feels most comfortable. I told the players that I cannot change all 11 players, without the minimum of training together. We take advantage of the training to be able to create chemistry.”

Tite says he will give Roberto Firmino another chance upfront, despite a quiet game against Uruguay on Friday, “The numbers of the game against Uruguay and our sequence show that our difficulty was the creation process, which is the most difficult.

“Firmino is coming in now and it would be unfair and incorrect not to maintain continuity so that he can have fluency in this combination of offensive moves. There are players who suffer the most, who make the creation and the arrival at the front. We have a deficiency in this aspect.”
