Brazil midfielder Casemiro has pulled out of the Seleção’s friendlies with Uruguay and Cameroon, his club Real Madrid have confirmed.
Brazil play Uruguay at Emirates Stadium on Friday evening, before facing Cameroon at Stadium:MK on Tuesday.
Casemiro joins Phillipe Coutinho in withdrawing from the squad due to injury. Casemiro has an ankle problem and Madrid predict he will be out for a month.
The player picked up the injury during Madrid’s 4-2 win over Celta Vigo on Sunday. Madrid left-back Marcelo has also withdrawn from the squad.
Casemiro has been replaced by Renato Augusto and Marcelo by Juventus left-back Alex Sandro.
