Everton boss Marco Silva says he had no doubts over signing Richarlison, despite the large price tag. The Brazilian signed from Watford for a sum that could rise to £50m.
The sum raised some eyes as Richarlison was reunited with Silva, who managed the player at Watford for the first three months of last season.
But Richarlison has lived up to expectation with some excellent performances and 6 goals in 9 Premier League starts so far this season.
“It's important for him and the club. The club paid a lot of money to sign him," Silva told Sky Sports. "I told you from the first moment he signed I had no doubts.
“Not just because he can score as a striker and a winger but how he can work and how he can have a fantastic connection with our fans because he is a fighter and he never gives up."
