‘No Problem’ With Fabinho Insists Klopp
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp insists there is no problem with Brazilian midfielder Fabinho, who has still yet to appear for the club following his £43.7m move from Monaco this summer.
Fabinho has twice been an unused sub and omitted from the match day squad entirely on three occasions in the first five games.
Klopp says there is no problem and points out that he has form for allowing players to blend into the Liverpool team slowly.
“I don’t like to compare players, but we had similar questions with Robbo and Oxlade. There is absolutely no problem,” he explained.
“It’s not nice to tell him he’s not involved but he comes from another league, completely different system to us. That takes time. The plan was, and is, that he will make us better.”
Klopp is expecting to make changes in the coming weeks, with Champions League and Carabao Cup matches on the horizon: “Of course we have to. We go to the next game and then see.
“You always try to have your best team but it’s clear with the number of games we have, we have to rotate.”
