Everton boss Marco Silva says that Richarlison’s recent call-up to the Brazil squad signals “a moment for him to keep working.”

The Toffees forward was called up to replace the injured Pedro of Fluminense after scoring three goals in his first three games for Everton.

Boss Marco Silva says Richarlison must not rest on his laurels and use the call-up as motivation to continue progressing.

“Of course it is an important moment for him. To get a call-up to the Brazil national team is not easy as they have big quality,” said the Toffees boss.

“It is a moment for him to keep working. Last week was not really good for us and for him and it is something he has to learn from and will for sure learn fast.

“He has to do what he has to do where he is strong, which is playing football and nothing more. We are here to teach him in the right way and of course he has to learn as well.”

Brazil face the USA in New Jersey on Friday, before taking on El Salvador in Maryland on Tuesday evening.
