Liverpool Make £62m Alisson Bid
Liverpool are reported to have made a bid of £62m for Roma goalkeeper Alisson. The Reds have long been linked with a move for the Brazilian.
Following Loris Karius’ errors in the Champions League Final, the urgency for a new keeper at Anfield has stepped up and Liverpool are reported to have made a bid on Tuesday evening.
Chelsea are also thought to be interested, with their first choice Thibaut Courtois said to be close to a move to Real Madrid.
Roma are holding out for another €5m to take the total fee to €75m (£66.6m) for the 25-year- old but both clubs are hopeful that an agreement can be reached, reports the Guardian newspaper.
If the deal goes through, it would make Alisson the most expensive goalkeeper of all time. The player has also been linked with Real Madrid, though the Spaniards appear to have turned their attention to Courtois.
