Brazil striker Gabriel Jesus says he is frustrated by the Seleção’s elimination from the World Cup at the quarter-final stage at the hands of Belgium. Brazil fell to a 2-1 defeat in Kazan. Jesus did not manage to score a goal during the tournament.

“It's frustrating. I leave here very frustrated. I was not what I expected. I do not know why it went this way. If I did, I'd find a way to solve it. Tactically, I've always obeyed a lot, that's what I'm doing, I have not changed anything. Unfortunately the ball did not fall for me.

“Maybe I did not have clear chances, I don’t know, man, I want to win, to score, I did not miss chances, sometimes things happen that you do not expect, so I leave here very frustrated. The question of the team, I accept, as long as it is positive in the way of seeing what is really happening.

"In football, one day you are that, one day you are that, it's normal. I accept it well. Now it's time to reflect. There will always be emotion. If you carry the expectation of 200 million people you have to have emotion.”
