Switzerland captain and new Arsenal right-back Stephan Lichtsteiner admits that he had to keep his cool during Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Brazil due to the Seleção’s propensity for exaggerating contact.

Lichtsteiner was booked early in the game and had to walk a disciplinary tight rope, while Brazil forward Neymar was fouled ten times during the game.

The 34 year old told reporters, "I was a bit worried about the referee. Every time they fell, he whistled and it was a foul. It was kind of a challenge for me.

"I thought, 'do not be so aggressive because whenever they go to the ground, it's a foul.’ So I took care when I got a yellow card."

Swiss midfielder Gelson Fernandes suggested that Neymar was making the most of minimal contact, "There was an above average amount of fouls, but he [Neymar] falls a lot."
