Brazil boss Tite says that Fred and Renato Augusto will be fit for the opening game of the World Cup against Switzerland on Sunday.

The pair sat out the 3-0 victory over Austria in Vienna on Sunday. Renato Augusto will a swollen knee and Fred with a slight ankle problem.

Tite says neither player will need to be replaced, “The doctor will bring details about Fred. The forecast is that it is already good and ready to train with us.

“As for Renato, if it were a Cup game, he would have been on the bench.” Tite gave Neymar his first start since February due to a metatarsal injury on Sunday.

The coach removed his star man with a few minutes remaining and Tite admitted that hadn’t planned to keep him on for so long.

“I left Neymar on for a long time so he could pick up rhythm. But what if it gives a problem? I left him a little bit more than I intended.

“It's important he's playing. But the moment came and I said, "Enough." It would get a little heavy on my conscience if anything happened.”
